The primary function of an engine company is fire suppression and extinguishment. They are also trained to help both the Rescue Company and the Ladder Company in their operations if the situation demands it. Engine Company responds to all firefighting alarms, such as building fires, car accidents, brush fires, and others. Brookside is located on Park Avenue, between Uniondale Avenue and Davis Avenue. They are known as the “Pride of Park Avenue.”
